At Natural Resources Wales in Bangor on 1 Oct at 12pm.
Bisexuality in Welsh History – A talk by Norena Shopland from Draig Enfys

In celebration and support of Bisexuality Day Natural Resources Wales will be hosting a fascinating talk by author and historian Norena Shopland from Draig Enfys.

In advance of her talk on the 1st October Norena said “society has, and continues to be, dominated by the idea of a binary sexuality – i.e. gay/straight, with bisexuality often seen as a transitional phase. History on the whole has disregarded bisexuality, but now that the concept of sexual fluidity is becoming more accepted is it possible, and is it right, to go back into history and re-evaluate our way of describing people? Taking a few individuals from history as examples this talk will challenge the way we think about sexual orientation”.

Running Time: approximately an hour – allowing time for questions and discussions at end.
