Another event for LA!

Friday, September 5th, 2014

US flag[USA] Los Angeles has another Bi Visibility Day event this year, in the form of a ‘Bisexuality In The Media’ panel debate.

The Association of LGBT Journalists say:

Monday, September 22, 2014 – 6:30pm – Join us at the ONE National Lesbian & Gay Archives, for an informative panel discussion co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Bi Task Force, BiNet USA & the ONE Archives Foundation!

Advocate.com managing editor Michelle Garcia will moderate the discussion, which will cover what journalists and other media professionals should know about the bisexual community. Panelists will talk about what it means to be bisexual; positive and problematic media coverage of the bisexual community; health disparities and other issues that affect bisexual people; and upcoming opportunities to cover the bisexual community in Los Angeles.

You’ll also have a chance to ask panelists your questions about bisexuality and covering the bisexual community!
