Bi Pride in Paris

Monday, September 8th, 2014

flag-france[France] On the evening of Tuesday September 23, 2014, the Paris-based French bisexual association Bi’cause will host two events.

They say:

“The first event of the day will be a gathering at 6pm at Igor-Stravinsky, near the Centre Beaubourg. We invite everyone to bring bi flags, banners, balloons, signs, T-shirts and more, so that we can perform our first “Bi Pride”. There will be short speeches to reflect upon what it is to be bisexual in France today.”

Here is the location on OpenStreetMap

The assembly – “Rassemblement pour la Journée Internationale de la Bisexualité” (“Rally for International Bisexuality Day”) will go on from 6pm to approximately 7.30.

Here is the Facebook event with more details.

It will be followed by a second event, a festive debate:

Starting around 19:30-19:45, a festive gathering will be held in the Mairie du 3e arrondissement (town council of the third district), in the Salle des mariages (Room of Weddings). It will be the moment for discussion among bi people, activists, bi-allies and curious. There will be food and drinks.

So the evening in Paris is modular, depending on your availability on September 23 : you can either just go to the Bi Pride at Place Igor Stravinski, or just go to the food & chat at Mairie du 3e arrodnissement, or to both events if you have the whole evening free!

There may be some people marching from the first address to the second leafleting the public on the way.

These events are organised with support from several other LGBT associations (Centre LGBT Paris-Île-de-France, MAG Jeunes LGBT, SOS Homophobie, FièrEs).
